Who Is Dr. Memo???
My Name is Guillermo Gamboa, but almost everybody calls me Memo and I have been an optometrist in Chicago for over 13 years now.
Currently, I have been in home business for over two years. I am the youngest of ten children and the first to get the opportunity to extend my education past high school. I attended DePaul University. In the beginning it was challenging because I did not want to be there but with the help of family, friends and some personal growth it turned out great. Optometry school was actually more difficult, but I knew I could do well and I did.
I love my career but I don’t love it 6 days a week 50 hours a week! (How long is your work week? Is it similar or even longer?) And I know my family does not love it that much either. Every night my children ask me the same question “do you have a long day tomorrow?” I know that this opportunity will one day allow me to respond “Honey, I never have a long day!”
Being an optometrist is great, because it allows me the pleasure of helping people on a daily basis. The thing is, when I graduated I thought I would not only make a great living, but also help my family especially my mother and father who came to the states over 60 years ago with nothing. Unfortunately, that was just not the case. Like most people, I was waiting for Friday to come just to make it to the next Friday! Do you have this same issue? Fast forward to 2013: My wife calls me and says a friend of ours is having a presentation and we should go! My exact response was “No way I don’t give a $!%& about any of that stuff.” Luckily my wife is very persuasive and I found myself in somebody’s house watching a short video presentation. Maybe you have had a similar experience. I heard about people making thousands of dollars a month and about others making hundreds of thousands a month! All by letting a video do the explaining. Honestly, I went to the presentation just to make my wife happy and as a favor to our friend but I went home and stood awake thinking “I can do that! And if I don’t do something I will be working until I’m 80 years old!!” Two days later I was off and running with my new business. I had no experience in network marketing or direct sales but joining has been one my greatest decisions to date!! I have grown and developed in ways I did not even know I could or needed. I can honestly say that even if I never make another dime, the journey has already been worth it. Obviously, nobody knows what the future holds, but for the first time in a long time I am very excited.
When ws the last time you were truly excited about something?
I have a vision of helping busy parents or anyone to get out of the 40-80 hour work week, of no longer living paycheck to paycheck just to pay off loans and bills. I want us ALL to have the time freedom to spend with those we care about the most, because in the end, time is the one thing we can never get back!
. . .Remember anything “they” know, WE can learn!! Together WE can do anything!
